đ§đ˛ â We're heading to the Azores
Dear friends of SailingSymi,
After a short break and helping our dear friend and third crew member, Meiki, settle in, we went shopping yesterday to buy fresh vegetables, fruit, and bread, which we stowed away. We took a short walk around the area and organized, stowed, and tidied up a few things on board.
Since the weather forecast for the crossing predicted a few days of motoring weather, we bought an additional 4 canisters (80 liters of diesel will let us motor for about 1.5 days).

SYMI is now refueled, but unfortunately we werenât able to fix everything technically. The radar, for example, lost its computer connection to the chartplotter software after a software update. So, no radar.
We now have to go to the authorities to check out, and after that we should leave the country within an hour. Thatâs the rule. But all the preparations are complete. All thatâs left is to lashe down and secure the dinghy and the outboard motor, and then weâll head northeast out into the Atlantic.
Just like a week ago, you can follow us again on the âPredictwind Weather Mapâ by clicking on the image
Iâll try to post daily updates there in blog form. We expect it to take 11â14 days to reach Horta (Azores).
Keep your fingers crossedâŚ
Best regards from aboard
Capt. Pavlos, Andrea, and Meiki
