Dear friends, Today, on the 10th day and after yesterday’s low-pressure system passed through, I decided to write just a little bit and make an audio blog instead. I may sound tired and weak, but please don’t worry—we’re doing fine. You can find it here:

Dear friends of SailingSymi, After a short break and helping our dear friend and third crew member, Meiki, settle in, we went shopping yesterday to buy fresh vegetables, fruit, and bread, which we stowed away. We took a short walk around the area and organized, stowed, and tidied up a few things on board.
Since the weather forecast for the crossing predicted a few days of motoring weather, we bought an additional 4 canisters (80 liters of diesel will let us motor for about 1.5 days).

SYMI is now refueled, but unfortunately we weren’t able to fix everything technically. The radar, for example, lost its computer connection to the chartplotter software after a software update. So, no radar.
We now have to go to the authorities to check out, and after that we should leave the country within an hour. That’s the rule. But all the preparations are complete. All that’s left is to lashe down and secure the dinghy and the outboard motor, and then we’ll head northeast out into the Atlantic.
Just like a week ago, you can follow us again on the “Predictwind Weather Map” by clicking on the image I’ll try to post daily updates there in blog form. We expect it to take 11–14 days to reach Horta (Azores). Keep your fingers crossed… Best regards from aboard Capt. Pavlos, Andrea, and Meiki

Dear friends of SailingSymi, We’ve now been sailing across the Atlantic for two days; we’ve made our way about 300 km through waves and strange Gulf Stream swells. Everything is going well, and we should arrive by Thursday at the latest. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough data with the Starlink antenna to update the homepage daily. BUT right on the first page (2nd photo), you’ll now find a direct link to the "https://www.predictwind.com/tracking/SV-Symi" tracking page, where I write a daily blog quite easily and without using much data. You can view all sorts of things on the linked page. If you click on the dots along the route, you’ll see the daily blog. The weather is shown in the top right corner, etc. Have fun Take good care of yourselves
